Does anyone have any info on how to get the headlights to alternate like the police vehicle do?

You know, alternate back and forth.

Strobe lights you mean. I don't think its possible to do that with HIDs as they will get ruined from repetative on/off.....we've talked about this situation when you hit the panic button on the remote when the HIDs go on and off. If you noticed that when you turn on your headlights the HIDs take time to heat up (they are blue at first then they become white as we have it on our cars).

You can go out and buy strobe kits, and there are shops that install them

A few years back my friend did it on his crotch rocket- (Motorcycle) It is a relay transmission that he installed- Known as Oscilating headlights

Bottom line- He was pulled over after he was weaving through traffic with them on after someone used there cell phone to report him and he was fined $500.00 and his license was suspended for inpersonating a police interceptor-

Sooo- Good Luck

I think you meant the actual alternating flashing lights(i.e. low/high beam..either or)

Well, aside from them being illegal to use on public roads, I think if you search "Police car light/equipment" or something, you can probably find a site that sells the alternating headlight relay or gizmo.

You can probably make one yourself if your knowledgable with automotive electrical stuff.

I have them in my car. They alternate the High Beams(halogens). You can get them from a website called www.galls.com You will need to get a special kind because the japanese cars have reverse polarity. Speak to someone at customer service and they will advise you on what to get.

Also, you should find out your local laws, but I believe in NY you are allowed to have alternating headlights. Just make sure you do not have any red lights or other colors.
