Are the high beam lights just regular lights?

Do they use the same setup as basic high beam lights? I know the HID's are a different system.
I'd like to wire a wig wag flasher into the high beams. I have one someone gave me.
It uses the high beam + wire.

Not sure what this has to do with his question, but yes they are standard halogen lights.

YES, and the “alien spotlight” effect is only applicable to the 2001 and 2002 CL’s.

This comes from a serious VW'er who has a chipped VR6 GTI...:

That’s a pretty serious chip. If he’s getting an extra 40 hp (crank, by the way – he can’t get 220 at the wheels without a lot of other modifications) from an otherwise stock 1.8T, he’s pushing the limits. I think it really comes down to what kind of tranny he has – the 2nd on my car can go up to about 70 (with the chip), and your’s can go even higher. Going to the end of 2nd gear is kind of a strange qualification – is this the end of both car’s 2nd gear? If so, you’ll automatically win, since your top speed is higher than his in 2nd. Either way, I seriously doubt his 0-60 time is much lower than 6.5 (maybe 6.3 or so), so from a standstill, you should take him, and from a rolling 2nd, it all ends up in the hands of gearing. I wouldn’t lay down a whole bunch of cash in a bet, but I’d think you should win.

That is the flasher I have. I have one in my Explorer. Someone I know gave me a brand new one. I was just wondering if I could hook it up to the high beams on the CLS like I have on the Explorer.
I am a red cross volunteer so that gives me some excess to use it
