When the car is parked and idleing, and when im outside, i hear a small poping sound. Repeatative and rythmic poping......is that the cat burning excess unburned fuel?

Sorry, I've never had this happen and don't know what it is, your explanation makes sense though. I'd give a call to the dealer and see what they think it is.

i,ve had this problem since the day i bought the car. i was just hoping the car would blow up, but no it didnt. if someone figures this problem let me know-thanks

I took my car to the dealer to check out this problem... but of course it wouldnt make the sounds once I got there. I noticed it near the driver-rear side of the car. He asked me to describe the sound, so I told him that I thought my left muffler was sounding like a mustang (a boomboomboom kinda sound) while the right pipe sounded like a nice hummmm. They were all puzzled and told me to come in if it makes that sound again. Of course, it only happens about twice a month. Anyone else have this problem?
