Why did installing Koni Yellows raise my car to a 4 finger gap?
Hey guys,
Forgive me for being new to this site. I bought my 03 TL-S used last June and installed H&R sport springs last October. I kept the stock shocks and have been riding with that suspension until yesterday. With the H&R sport drop, I had about a one and a half finger gap. Yesterday, I installed Koni Yellows to replace my stock shocks only to find that it had raised my car and increased the gap to about 4 fingers (basically stock height)!
Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it to get that 1 finger gap that all of you with this set up have?? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like the spring perches were installed upside down

The Koni yellows are adjustable alright, but the only thing adjustable is the rebound and compression damping, not the total height as for coilovers which have adjustable perches.

I'm going to have the mechanic check to make sure the shocks were installed correctly when I get off of work. Hopefully that's the case because I really have no idea what else could be causing it.
I forgot to mention that the mechanic told me that the people who installed my h&r sport springs installed the rear springs upside down because I guess that was the only way they could fit them on. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem but the entire time i've had the upside down springs in the rear the ride has been smooth and the drop was decent and even in both the front and back.
I'll update tomorrow. It's just depressing going from a decently lowered TL to a monster truck TL as a result of the koni's...

No, There is a height adjustment on the standard koni (20mm) and 5 adjustments on the SP3s
