Erm if you can afford a tl get a hotel room.
Tell them you had some buddies (maybe drunk ones?) in back and they were screwing off and ripped the seat by accident? Or you were moving something heavy? I dunno.

Good luck

I find that telling the truth is always the best policy.

I would personally talk to my pops, and tell him how I SCORED!!!! (not really)

and then gently about the seats, or get it fixed ASAP!

that's why you tap in the fron seat...
and the tear happened to me too in the rear seats...but naturally...not as noticeable as yours though...just a bit torn up where the outline is...the trim...
guess this happened from having people in the back... and the "high" quality leather.

Don't even tell 'em. Just get it fixed before they notice. I'm not sure how it can be fixed but I would first go to an upholstery shop and ask for their opinions.

And cap off please. It hurts my eyes.

leather cant be repaired. either you can have it re-stitched or get a new bench - they'll both come out to around the same price. $400 or so.
tell your parents you took out the back seats or something to work on the car...if you do that kinda stuff

Or... you could say, you didn't do never saw it in your life before... that's what a warranty is for like he says..

I would not even do that in my TL shame on you.I am a little to old for doing the wild thing in the car now.But how I rember the good old days in my first car a 1980 Prelude.
Tell your parents about the problem say something like the seat is torn how did that happen or in other words lie.

Wink

Rear seat action, huh? I will refrain from asking about the rear fold-down "cup holders" or making jokes about the "pass-through" armrest back there.

I like the warranty suggestion ("it was like that when I got here"), with the "friends in the back seat" a close second.

Of course now you have to come back and tell us what you ultimately said, whether they bought it or not, and what happened to fix the leather.

a hotel room would have been so much cheaper than a new rear seat... but the warranty thing sounds sweet...And next time think before you do something in your parents car...

what you should've done was the Tommy Boy thing. Take a family outting and have your mom or dad or sibling sit in the back seat. That way when they get out you can look back and scream " What did you do!!" That way its not so fishy
