Original tranny going strong
Bought 03 TL with 11k and now it has 62k on
the original tranny. Still going strong; if you
are buying one I suggest getting the manufacturer
to throw in the 7yr/100k warranty extension.
All we did was have to ask if it had the original
transmission and they immediately offered the
warranty extension.

I don't want to get flamed but mine failed like 100 miles after installing the inkjet kit. And the service guy said that it is VERY common for them to fail right after getting the oiljet installed. I was at 77k and I almost wonder if it would have made it longer without the oiljet. It kind of jerked when shiftin but never anything too bad. Went out almost without warning. Oh well crap happens.

Thats a load of BS. the oil jet had nothing to do with it. If he knew any thing about what it did and what it look like in the tranny he would know that it didnt cause it, plus he would know that they cant inspect the problem either and it was most likely already going out before you brought it in

my tranny died around 45k. my engine died at around 55k due to "piston slap". luckily acura paid for everything and imported and installed a new one. so i pretty much have a brand new 99 tl lol.
