There is nothing in either car that can't be fixed or replaced.

So it's a tie.

LOL! As long as your willing to swap trannies on the TL-S! Sike maybe just once and get the new updated tranny, then it's just regular maintence for both cars to live long. Both will eventually need water pumps and timing belts along with suspension and brakes. Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura both have great reputation.

If I had a choice though I'd get the GS400, it's just one badass ride.

02 TL 133,000 miles and counting, tranny warranty replacement at 90, 000. Still runs like new (except for the crappy oem rotors which are shortly to be replaced with RB+Hawks). Still say nothing like a Honda

I am coming up on 181,000 miles on my 99. Seems like the more miles it gets, the better it rides! Everything still stock.

My 01 has 144,000 miles with original everything, including paint job (unfortunately). Still going strong with no signs of slowing down.

What was the highest mileage anyone hit before an engine overhaul? So far we have 230, 000 and no engine re-build.

Did anyone have anything else replaced, ie shocks, struts, steering arms, mountings? I think I may need shocks pretty soon, any info on do's and don'ts, recommended aftermarket products? Costs?

If you want comfort, less performance, and poor gas mileage, go with toyota/lexus products. If you want good gas mileage, good performance, but less comfort, then go with honda/acura.

03 TL-S and just turned 100,000. Good thing they extended the warrenty to 105,000 - they just discovered a leaking front strut and also leaking trans fluid (on second trans) and it is a warrenty item...
