Thumbs up

The (WDP) color is a nice color on the TL
Its more of off-white color not the pink shade that Caddy had. Its not the yellow shade that Nisssan had. I think its a beautiful shade.

Ironically, I saw a WDP 01 TL today. The color's fantastic. Not yellowish, no pink hue to it, just a smooth, sharp off-white with a metallic sheen in the sun. Truly beautiful. This car rocks!

All I can say is that dark coloured TLs look way better than light, especially white. I know this is personal preference and dark colours look like sh-- in the winter, however there is nothing better than a clean black TL. The light colours do not do the TL justice. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yes, the WPD is a nice, slightly off white...too white to even call it cream. I compared both on Sunday on '01 TLs at my local dealer. Living in the desert of SoCal where it can get upwards of 120 degrees in the summer, a light color is the only sensible option for me.

I think I know which color BigSkyTL is thinking of. I see those cream / pale yellow Maximas all the time. The White Diamond Pearl is much better, trust me. My uncle just bought one of those and when I get the TL-S, I plan on getting a white diamond pearl too. The color is really nice. You should definitely go to a dealer though, and check it out for yourself.

Red face White Diamond Pearl ...UGLY???

About 3 years ago, Nissan and Caddilac came out with a "creamy white" color that i thought was VERY UGLY. Nissan's was on their Maxima, and it had a yellowish tint to it ...very subtle, but i thought quite ugly. Caddilac then came out with a similar "creamy white" but it was more of a PINK tone and also very UGLY. ...

so my question.....
Is Acura's TL type-S ... White Diamond Pearl similar to either of the two cars mentioned above. My 2000 TL is the White Taffeta and with a gold edition, it's sharp looking, but im hesitant to choose the White Diamond Pearl because it may be that creamy yellow or pink look.

Does anyone know how "creamy" the new type S will be in White Diamond Pearl? is it yellowy or pinkish?

....i wish they would have offered Taffetta or Laguna Green...love that color too.

White Diamond Pearl is available on the 2001 TLs so all you need to do is find an Acura dealership near you and go check it out for yourself. I'm guessing that it will look exactly the same on the Type S. I personally love the color.

I think WDP is a pimpin color.. that was one of my 3 choices. It has a kindof slight metallic tingle to it. Pictures on the web won't do the car justice, Like the other guys said, go to a dealer or if you see one out and about take a closer look. If you want some more ideas, you can look in the gallery to see some of the rides. Like Snook's and StreetEffectz's, I think they are WDP.

Just check out StreetEffectz ride. It is nice. Snook's ride is the Taffeta(sp). His car is nice too. Just matters if you want a more tan white than pure white.

Mine is WDP and get lots of compliments. It looks nothink like that crappy Maxima color, or the Caddy 'off-pink' color either. Very subtle. Go to a dealership, although you can see it on the Acura web site by chosing "build your own TL" and picking WDP. It looks even better in person, and especially cool at night under streetlights.
