Whine/Vibration While Accelerating in 2nd & 3rd gears (3k - 3.5k RPMS)
I have been experiencing a noise that sounds like a rapid vibration or whine (almost a metallic buzz) the past couple of days... I can feel it in the shifter.
To make a long story short... this noise occurs when accelerating at a somewhat quick pace, or accelerating up a hill (higher torque situations) in 2nd AND 3rd gears, between 3000 and 3500 RPMs. It seems like there is an ever so slight loss of power during the duration of the noise. It occurs when in automatic or manual trans modes.
Any ideas? I am going to try and get it in on Saturday. I am like 20 miles from the end of my certified used warranty If it isn't a tranny or drive train issue hopefully they cut me some slack.
