Where should i put my tranny temp sensor?

Ok. I just got a tranny temp gauge and i am thinking where should i put it. I have done some search here and found someone put it by the entering host of the cooler kit, and someone out it by the returning host of the cooler kit. I was asking my friend, he was saying maybe i should put it inside the tranny... he was just joking of course.... but can anyone tell me which one would be better? reading how hot(exiting the tranny) the fluid is or how cool(entering the tranny) did it get? Thanks alot.

I would think getting the temp of the fluid exiting the tranny would be better because you would get a sense of how hot the tranny is running. IMO
