Where is IAC Valve?

Hello people,

I have a 2000tl and am experiencing the idle speed problem (rpm goes between 500 to 700 at idle). I have read in the forum that a lot of people are having the same problem. Can someone with a helm manual post a picture of the IAC valve location for our cars please? I am thinking to change the IAC valve by my self if it is not too difficult.

thanks!

clean it with carb cleaner and a tooth brush.

plus remove your plastic intake from the throttle body and clean the throttle plate.

Okay, I have two used IAC valves sitting here that I am trying to soak in a bucket of carb cleaner over the weekend. The problem is that I cannot seem to find the right "star" bit to separate the harness connection from the valve opening. I need help as far as the bit size and all. Anyone who can help me out on this would be a life-saver. Thanks in advance!
