The key has to be programmed and synchronized with the Vehicle Immobilizer System.

If you don't how to do it, then your only option is to get it from the dealership.

If u lost ur key then u need to go to the dealership. Because the keep u buy at Ebay, it does not come program with ur vehicle immobilizer system. That mean it has a chip in ur key and a receiver in the ignition switch. If it is not program even u got it cut to ur key, it WILL NOT start ur vehicle. Apply for 99+ TL. ALL.

===============How to program the transmitter remote???================

I was looking through my user manual and it shows you how to use the Acura transmitter remote, but nothing that shows how to program it.

Now does anyone know how to program the remotes??? Thanks

I went to a local locksmith that duplicated the master key for me. Just take it to a locksmith and ask them if they can make a copy of the key for you. They will look at the key and tell you if they can do it or not. My dup cost me $40.00.

either do that or be safe and take it to the dealer, so they have records of everything in case anything ever :happens:

I have an '03 TLs and the key does not have a chip. Is the chip inside the plastic casing?

yes, the key is inside the plastic top part where you hold it. I got my key made for 40 at the dealership, might want to check at other dealers. I was quoted 35 by one dealer. I don't think it is worth 40 for a dupli if you can get and oem part for just about the same price
