wheels/pulley on!! pics inside!

hey guys

i put on my 18s / UR crank pulley today! the only thing left to do is paint and a few things here and there.

im kinda pissed tho.. i bought lock nuts for the wheels, and the last nut i was torquing, the socket broke and the torque wrench slipped and hit the wheel and made a chip (very small tho).. i fixed it with some silver paint i had and it's not too bad now.. you really have to be looking for it to see it...but damn..

anyway, i took some pics.. ENJOY!

yeah i remember those rims, back then about 3/4 years ago i had one of the first very few sets in usa. i got it from eurosport who is a dealer of japan spec ssr. tirerack don't even carry ssr back then. i bent one and i made a few phone calls to see if i can buy it anywhere else even in mainland shops and all the people i talk to don't even know about this rim. i try sent one to those rim repair specialist in mainland but they called me back said that can't be fix because is forged. so i spent another 750 bux at eurosport for 1 rim.

the gains from the pulley are suposed to be much more noticeable after 5-7 days (the ECU needs to "learn" the new/lighter rotational weight)...

but right now i can tell you the engine revs faster

what kind of body kit is that? is that the OEM style? better yet, if it's OEM, I should be able to get it via Acura?

I just looked at the pictures and thought, "Nice whip." Seems like the other folks on this board are a little more thorough. I wonder if I ever post a pic of my car, someone might point out my rear passenger tire is 2 PSI more than the rest.

By the way, does that chrome tape go inside or outside the light? I was hoping it was a cheap alternative to clearing the corners.

Let us know how it feels in a week or so. I'm curious if it's a noticable difference...

aight here's an update, today, i floored my car a couple of times, and i was like DAMN am i driving a ferrari or what?! :toothless

seriously, the engine revs faster and the pulley really produced noticeable gains. i can REALLY feel the power. like bigman told me, with the pulley, you're waking up the beast!!

Those wheels look nice. I don't know about the blue calipers though. That color makes them REALLY jump out. Is that what you really want? I mean. . . everyone has brake calipers. They aren't anything special. That color just looks akward against the color of your car.

As for the chrome tape, I know you're trying to get rid of the amber insert, but does it cover your signal so that you wouldn't even see it light up?

does pulley reduce other parts of the car's function like alternator or power steering? I heard that with pulleys you'll notice that your lights sometimes will go dim, then back to normal brightness?

the blue calipers in the pic look really bright, but the sun was shining directly on them, plus they got darker after a few days of use, they look better now..

and you can still see the light blinking tru the chrome "tape". so cops dont botter me

btw thanks for the good comments guys.

here's a pic of the pulley, im ashamed of posting that pic tho.. the wheelwell is soooo dirty... cuz it was raining that day.. it's usually damn clean!! :o

no lights dimming or anything everythings fine!

the gains i got are great, the engine revs much "freer" and it definitly improved acceleration in the whole rpm range. i cant tell how many HP tho.. but it made a nice difference.. the pulley and headers are definitly the best mods i made.

i had the pulley installed at some shop around here it took about an hour. but imo someone not too dumb could do it at home.. just make sure you know what you're doing!

i really recommend the pulley!

i can think of a few dozen people that have done the crank pulley, and no one has had issues with the UR light weight, or the UR lightweight+underdrive crank pulleys. im just sorry i didnt do it sooner.
