Wheel speed sensor removal....

Very silly question since this looks very easy, but are there any tricks to removing the wheel speed sensor. When I had a shop do my lower ball joints a while back they ran the wheel sensor wires the wrong way around the knuckle when they replaced the joints and the rubber surround on the wires has been rubbing on the drive axle boot and know the wires are bare. So I want to pull the sensor and run it the right way before I have an issue. I unbolted the sensor and it looks like it should jsut pull out but its pretty stuck in there.

thanks

I think you should inform the shop that did the original work. They should be willing to look at it for you, and replace them for free if the situation is as you described it. Everyone makes mistakes. A reputable shop should take care of it, but you've gotta give them a chance.

Yeah I know....easiest thing to do would be to just do it myself....takes less time. If then I can't get it out, then I will have have them do it. Right now time is very valuable as I have 7 week old twin boys at home!!!!!!!!

Spray it with a little PB and see if that helps get it out.

yeah PB didn't even help....I ended up just diconnecting the connector in the engine bay, pulling it through into the wheel well, taking out all the bolts holding the wires to the knuckle and then putting it on th right side of the knuckle so it doesn't rub. Cleaned off the area that had the wires exposed and then put some liquid tape on there, hooked everything back up and I am ready to go. Test drove it, no codes throwns the wires are good to go!!!!
