What's under the leather?

I'll be purchasing a TL-S early next year. Once the wife is working again. I need to know what's under the perforated leather portion of the seats. Is it just the seat foam or is there another layer? If it's just the foam, I can see the kids spilling something in the back seat and it smelling later.

i got an idea.. trade the kids in when you get the TLs. this way you dont have to worry about them spilling stuff on your seats, and you might be able to get a better deal

I think that there is a platic insulation under the leather to protect form things like spills. Because the heating elements are also under there. As far as the rear seats go, i dont see why they wouldnt put plastic film under the leather there too.

There's been many times I would have traded them in. But they've finally gotten to fun ages (5 & 7). Ask me again in another 6 years when the oldest becomes a teen ager?!?!

Definitely a salesperson question. I don't see how there could be a plastic lining right underneath the leather...when some folks complain of that fuzzy white stuff coming through the leather. If there was a plastic barrier RIGHT THERE, the fuzzies would not be poking through, right? Maybe you'll just have to get some type of seat cover for the kiddos.....or don't let them eat or drink ANYTHING in the car.

P.S. Don't trade the kiddos in....I hear the depreciation is horrible hahah...just kidding

I've got two 9 year olds that sit in the back seat. I was concerned about that as well.

Solution = There is NO drinking in the back seat.

Easy enough.

My seats look like the day I got the car.

So does the rest of my TLS.
