whats a good spring

just want to know whats a good spring to buy when lowering my car as far as reliability, smooth ride, price. I see so many out there like comptech, Apexi, Eibach, Cusco, H&R, Neuspeed. So many.. so dont know much about springs but I want to lower my car. THe prices on all of these though seem pretty the same.. Some are a little cheaper and expensive then others.

Are there any springs that you can actually twist it to either go up or down whenever you feel like it? My dealer told me a while back..At that time i wasnt interested..

I'd say for reliability+quality..go w/Comptech or H&R Sports since that's what most of the members on the board have.

I just bought Neuspeed springs...they lower the car 1.75" which sounds like a lot but my brother had a jatta that he lowered 1.5" and you really couldn't tell it was even lowered besides when driving it because it held the road a little better. The reason I went with neuspeed is because I hear they work real well and they were about 40-50 USD less than any others out there.

Comptechs are probably the best, I have coilovers and those are the ones you can twist and raise and lower your car when you want, but you need an alignment every time you do though.

yea i dont want to be getting an alignment every time i do that and the comptech springs i hear are pretty good. So i think i will go with C springs. The one thing i am concern is the reliablity on these springs. I want it to last me at least 3-4 years down the road..

I just installed comptech springs on my 03 tl with 18 inch rims last friday. I didnt think it was going to drop it enough but it is perfect. They only advertise to drop 1.5 in the front but i think it was more like 2.4. The ride is great around turns (big improvement)
