when my car is off, and i'm washing it or doing some work on it, something buzzes or hums for about 3-4 seconds, and it happens i'd say at LEAST every ten minutes, if not closer to every 5 minutes. anyone know what is this??

i've done a search on this but nothing definitive comes up.

I dont know what it is, but mine does it as well. So lets hope that it is normal.

I think its the SRS box. It happens in my car in the same situation and also when I first put it in drive and first gas pedal press.

Mine does the same thing every 2-5 mins when the car is off. I cannot pinpoint where its coming from but i know that its not from under the hood so don't think that its the SRS box.

SRS box, i thought i was located under the center console in the way under the stereo. hmm cuz i swore i saw a couple big ass green harnesses down there. at least thats how my Accord was too.

I think it is the gas tank venting, normal.

jus when i thought i was the only one...i had a towncar back in the days and the rear air suspension would do that when i turned it off and when i heard it on the TL i was like WTF...lol..

dang, no one knows for sure...at least it is typical, and not something malfunctioning. or if it is, i'm not alone.

on the cl side some ppl have a sound like if the fuel pump was priming.
the srs unit is located under the radio by the ecu.

non of my cars do that

i talked to someone who immediately told me what he thought it was. i cant remember so im gonnna ask him but it is normal and i think it just something releases pressure maybe in the ABS possibly im not sure though but i was told it was ok and i did not need to worry

I GOT IT!!!!.......as i was sitting in my car waiting for the buzzing sound yesterday I ....and thats where its coming from in my car...
