a friend of mine is thinking about getting a TL and he wanted to know what would make his potential stand out. Would you buy upgraded rims and tires or would you first get springs? I told him springs...what do you guys think?

DDUB, many folks on this thread said that the ride quality really does not change but you feel the bumps a tad bit more. So, that is one of the main reasons why I have ordered springs. I am talking about Comptechs only, which is geared for the Acuras, just so you know.

why would springs make the car look wack without rims? its not like comptech slams ur car to the floor, it just evens out the gaps. anyways u need springs before u could get rims.

 

If he's in Cali, or anywhere else that's starting to get really warm nowo, then I'd get the tint... I'm getting mine next week, I can't wait any longer, it's getting too warm to wait.

 

My first two were Springs and Comptech Air filter element(fits in the stock box, higher flowing)

You've asked what would be not what will be... here is what I'd get, all in one shot:
1. New set of tires - $400
2. Cold Air Induction - $200
2. Mugen Suspension - $1450
3. Mugen Exhaust - $1300
4. Gas Slotted Brakes - $350
5. Headers - $1000
6. Sway Bars - $300

...all of this for a grand total of $5000 and probably another $500 for a days worth of work for my mechanic... and you "set it and forget it"...

After these your car won't look much different from the outside to the public but will handle much better and you'll get a minor power increase...

springs......ive seen old farts in TLs with tints and even rims.......springs will set you apart

 

What does it take ot put new springs on? Or roughly how much would it cost to get them put on? (aside from the cost of the actual springs I mean)

 

i'd an exhaust system, but if he wants to kinda stick out i'd go with rims...

 

springs look wack without rims, im saving up so i can put rims and springs at tha same time, maybe some exhaust also

 

I'll have to disagree with you although having rims would make your ride look even better, but if you keep a clean, shiny ride like myself, then it will still increase the looks of your car. I take time to pamper my black car and it is always lookin' good. When my mods are on, i will post pic!
