If you have those spots on your car, you'll probably have to do the claybar step with whichever product you choose. Oh, and before Darla can do it ... check out this link too. There's some good info here....

Rats! I have one tiny bit of expertise and didn't even get the chance to use it (this time)!!!

But Juniorbean is absolutely correct on the reference! I'd still use the overspray claybar with caution, however.

I did the claybar on my car about 2 weeks ago (before the Park Ave. meet) and it looks like a brand new car. When I went to the dealer to get the TL-S, he saw my car and couldn't believe how good it looked. All I know is I am a firm believer. I needed to see it to believe it, and my buddy did his car first. After I saw how good it came, I did mine, and I now have about 4 people who want me to do their cars after they saw mine!!

Thumbs up

Personally I would advise getting the Meguiar's products. It has been in the industry for a long time. About 85% of the detail and body shops uses Meguiar's products. Check out the site for more details. http://www.meguiars.com Good luck and happy waxing! They also sell the clay bar and it works wonder for the car. I used it many time on older and the new car. Very impressed with the final result. Hope this will help you out.

My advise to you is to go buy a clay bar. Meguiars makes a good one so does Zainobros...

The bar will get your car clean. It should take off those specks of dirt you're talking about without a problem....

BTW-Keep the surface of your car wet while using the clay bar otherwise it will tend to stick...

Good Luck

I agree with everything that has been said, but....If you don't have alot of time you might want to check into "3M Finessett(sp)". I use it on small fine scratches or swirls. I found it will take of tar spots from the road also. The claybar is by far the best route, but I don't have a great deal of time and this still looks great. Here is a pic of my 7 after I used it. Looks like glass.

I wanted to use Zaino but due to the lack of suppliers, I am using Klasse. My WDP looks just like the day I bought it. Check out http://www.properautocare.com/ Good luck.

Cool

I have to say that I'm apprehensive about overspray claybars because of the "learned" technique required. It's also the most aggressive of what's available.

I'd suggest 3M Hand Glaze as a first step (depending on the car's condition). You can always move up to the "heavy guns" later, if the outcome warrants it.

Sandblasting will also remove those pesky spots, but does little for the clearcoat/paint/primer/basemetal!!! j/k -and I hope that goes without saying!!!

Pinnacle Souveran wax, love it. There alot who you zaino, haven't tried it but from the sounds of some of the difficulties posted on zaino, Pinnacle Souveran is far easier to use.
