what type of oil to use?

Hi guys,

I know I should have done it myself, but when the wife was going to shop at the store (walmart) I gave her a list of oil 5-30 mobil 1, pick up 1 5 qt container, she came back with 1 5 qt 5-20. Question, is 5-20 ok to use for 1 time, I don't want to go back unless I have to.

thanks,
Jason

Actually, for whatever reason the 99-01 TLs say to use 5w30, but the 02-03s say to use 5w20 on the oil caps.

Rachel Ray's EVOO. And I cook w/ Mobil 1 0W-20. Or perhaps the other way around.

The 02-03 recommends 20 weight oil for fuel economy compared to the 99-01 recommending 30 weight. If you have a 99-01, I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you happen to run the car cross country non stop, at full speed.

5w-20 was actually recommended for gas milage but 5w-30 increases the longevity of our engines
