Hi,

I'm new here... I see some posts talking about a Transmission problem with the TL. I have a 2000 TL with 52,000 miles... I've never gotten any notice from Acura about any problems...

Is this something I need to worry about?

Worry, no. Be aware, yes. The 2000-2002 tl have a defective third gear clutch pack. About 2-3% of these transmissions have failed. Acura sent all owners of the involved model years a new 100k mile (or 7 year) warranty on the transmission. If you don't have the piece of paper I would assume you are covered anyway but I am sometimes wrong.

ALL 2002 TL are covered by the warranty extension. its the 2003 that is only covered if the car was made before Oct 2002 i beleive.
