What Time is it?
I noticed that on my 2003 TL the digital clock doesn’t light up when I turn the lights on.
I don't ever remember there being a light there, can anyone confirm if the clock should be lit?
Thanks,
Mike Smeezy

My 99 did that once. I got kind of p*ssed off and smacked the dash over top of the clock two or three times. It magically came back on, and in 3+ years since then it has not gone back out. Don't know if it was the clock, a bad connection, or if it is simply scared of me. . .

Had the same problem, took it to the dealership, when I got the car back i had a rattle in the dash, found out the bozos broke a fastening piece inside the frame that the dash attaches to. After months expermenting,I had to put a screw in the dash to stop the ratlle. If you want my advice, live with it
The dash must be removed. if you're handy, you might be able to
'loosen it' (i.e. remove it but not take it completely away from the steering column which is a pain to get around) and use a small screwdriver to remove and replace the bulb from behind (it'll be right behind the clock). Careful - there's a lot of wires connected so don't just yank out the dash. See the frequently asked questions on this site under replacing gauges for instructions on how to remove the dash. I believe it's question #8.

No, you don't have to take the whole DASHBOARD out. Just have to takeout or loosen the dashboard lower cover (instrument panel) out. There are 2 screws on top. Then gently pull out along the bottom to release 6 clips, then along the top to release the remaining 3 clips. Disconnect the TSC/CC/Moonroof connector and reset/select/hazard then disconnect the clock and climate control connectors. You might be able to pul out the dash a little (without remove it entirely) to have access to the bulb.
