18" will definitley look better and will fit perfectly...my tires are 225/45 with H&R Sports, i have no problems, and the car looks awesome. Go for 18's, if nething ull be able to turn better with the thicker tires, i noticed the difference a hell of a lot from the stock 205 to 225

18 and 19's are the best on the tl. 7.5-8 width, and a offset of atleast +47(for7.5) or higher for a 19 to insure no rubbing issues

I am looking to get a set of rims for my 2002 TL Type-S... I have looked around and finally found something that I like: http://www.foosedesignwheels.com/productline_car.php

I like the Type-S rims on the bottom of the page...

But looking at the Product Details of the rim I am not sure which ones to get... 17x7.5 but which offset and which bolt hole setup... If anyone could let me know which will fit I would apprieciate it... thanks...

The the 17x7.5 comes in a max 39 offset... will that work? I think you were looking at the 18x8.5

Then I guess I am sh*t out of luck with keeping 17's on my car... looks like I am going to have to make the jump to 18x8.5 with the +45 offset...

I have 19x8 with +52mm offset. No rubbing with H&R Sport drop and 5 people in the backseat( I will never do that again, trust me.) So yeah, offset if important if you don't want any rubbing.

Those won't fit either. 8.5 wide rims do not fit on 2nd Gen TL without major fender modifications.

The ideal sizes are as follows:

18x7.5 +45 offset
18x8 +50 offset
