Springs, springs, springs, or coilovers.

go to the gallery link on the side of the page to see a ton of tl's dropped with rims. there isnt going to be a huge difference between each set of springs (h&r / eibach / comptech). the only sets that are real different are the h&r oe's, which have barely any drop at all.

fyi, coilovers = expensive

can i do eibach springs .... its a 2.1" in the front and 1.6" rearand it says weight 35...They go for $210 plus shipping.. Now a couple of my friends say that if i do just the springs then my shocks are gonna crack...Is that true or all i need is those eibach springs that go for $210??

In page 9 of the gallery there is a tl with a comptech kit thats dropped really nice but the rims kill it(stock rims)...does are the rims i have so if i get a drop like that ill deal with the way it looks until i get rims but when i do get my 18s i can just replace the tires and the rims and stay with that drop and it will look fine??thanx a lot for your help guys i appreciate it.....

i wouldnt worry about shocks cracking. it is a good idea to replace them with aftermarkets, but not required. eibachs are a quality brand, but the drop is a little more than the comptechs. do a search on the different springs and you'll find peoples opinion on the ride quality of each.

even with stock wheels, the drop will look good. once you upgrade to 18's or 19's, the drop becomes necessary, or else the wheel gap gets too large.

none yet

just speaking on past experiences with my 98 maxima. i had the eibach pro-kit on there. the handling was amazing, they looked great, but the ride sucked after awhile.

my tl-s is brand new, haven't gotten to the springs yet. im thinking about doing them in the spring with a fresh set of chrome 19's.

what kind of rims are you looking at? hint-hint -- check out value-caraudio.com, he's got some sick rims from japan. good prices, but you're still gonna pay an arm and a leg.

i have the eibach pro-kit on my 03 tl-s and the ride is good. no complaints. in the back... the gap is about a finger and a half. in the front its like 2 fingers and a half.

Im not sure about the rims yet plus i dont have the $$ rite now but i feel like dropping it is a prioriety...im thinking about going towards the h&R springs now...I did a search and a lot of people like the ride and compare it to stock and it looks great....It says the drop is 1.75"/1.75" on the site is that good?anyone gotta pic with that drop??I know its not gonna look to great no with the stock rims and no kit but ill get to everything...

1.75 should be a fine drop. i think anything over 2" you would start to consider camber problems and a possible adjustment. springs are definitely the way to go if money is an issue.

i dont know if that should be your first priority though. as long as your still rolling on stock rims, the drop won't add that much visually. you may want to spend your $$$ somewhere else first, i.e. cold air intake. its up to you though.

I love my H&R sports drop. Even on stock rims they make the car look more aggressive. I'd suggest to stay away from Eibach's, I've talked to 3 ppl locally with Eibachs on their three different cars. They said the ride is bouncy and they sag more after a while
