What is an Oil cooler????

What is an Oil cooler????
Guys,

I looked through my reciept which came with car, and I noticed the second owner installed a oil cooler. What is an oil cooler?

It's a small radiator that sits in front the cooling system radiator that cools the transmission oil.

That was part of the transmission recall work. Also called an Oil Jet.

LOL I got myself really confused. The write up on the recall on owner link said nothing about installing an oil cooler, only oil jets, so I assumed the terms were interchangeable. Sorry.
