what happened

so i was driving tonight and i was on the highway and all of a sudden my check engine light and the other lights on the left side came on and my traction light came on. i didn't know what happend so i put the car in neutral and shut it off, and turned it back on and all the lights went off accept the check engine light. i get to my friends college and stay parked for about a half hour. then i drive home, and on the highway i go to give it the gas and all that happened was it lost all power and would just rev. i couldn't go anywhere it would not drive just rev so i needed to get a tow. so then i finally get home 100 dollars and 33 miles later and we take it off the toe truck, {which the retard driver scrapped up my back right rim when he pushed it off} and my dad trys to drive it and it worked and then stopped working so he shut it off and put it in reverse and backed it in the driveway. anyone have any ideas what happened and why it sometimes works.

get it diagnosted at a local mechanics shop or a parts store. if its the tranny, then you got warranty on it til 100k miles and you can take it to the acura dealer. they'll get you a new tranny in a few days.. if thats not the problem.. youre just gonna have to get that car diagnosted first..

It doesn't matter if you're the 152nd owner, the transmission is covered for 7 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) unless your car has a salvage title.

You will owe Acura absolutely not one penny and don't let them tell you otherwise.

by the way, should acura pay for his tow? i think i remember you can get it reinbursed. next time, call acura road side assistance.

I had to pay like 50 bucks out of pocket to get my car towed to Suburban Acura when my tranny bit it on the highway, and when I asked about it the service advisor said it will be pretty tough to squeeze that out of Acura. He was being upfront with me on everything else, so I assumed he was on that, too. So I said screw it and chalked it up to bad luck and dropping a 50-dollar bill in the sewer.

well i got my car towed to inskip today and they were very nice. i am getting a new tranny and i forget the other thing they are giving me, but nothing is going to cost me a dime. they are remibursing me both tows {from worcester mass, to johnston ri [my house]} and from my house to inskip. and they are also giving me a brand new acura for a week as a rental, because they said it will take them a week, this is also free of charge. fyi guys the guy told me they have to pay for the tows and the rental if it is due to the tranny which is under warranty. he also said if you go over 100k miles to still go to a acura dealer if the tranny lets go again because they can get you the tranny for free, you will just have to spend like 500-800 dollars for labor. he said many people don't do it because the dealers try to stick it to you but it can be done to get the part from acura for free even if you are at like 120k miles. just wanted to let you all know. thanks for everyones help
