Has anyone leased a TL with NAV in the last 2 months? (or if you got a quote)

In NJ you could probably get a $450-$470 per month with about $1K up front...

Take it and be glad you are in NJ... in August I was offered $400 per month $0 up front NJ lease vs. $415 per month and $2400 up front NY lease... that was about the same between 3 dealers...

That is Non-NAV...

In NJ also.
Got mine from Acura of Somerville.
I would also recommend Springfield Acura as they were offering the second best deal.

Springfield gave me the best deal but didn't have my Laguna... and the difference between the good deal and what I've got was $5 a month less... which comes out to a "huge" difference of $180 over the 3 year lease... basically the all give you the same price once you start playing them against each other...

Unless you are a travelling salesman, please do not lease. It is a bad idea and you get no equity in return.

No problem. Unless you can write off the expense of leasing a vehicle (i.e. on your tax return), then financially speaking, it is not worth it to lease a vehicle, unless you are simply trying to drive a nice car. Why shell out money for three or more years only to have to give the vehicle back and start all over -- you might as well have something to trade in when you get another ride. I made that statement from a financial point of view and nothing more. Hope that makes sense. Just sound advice I picked up from several financial advisors. But like I always say, do whatever floats your boat.

If you do the calculations the difference comes to about $500-$1000 in favor of the financing which is not that of a big deal and you don't have to deal with the headache of selling the car... but it would only be true if you only drive 12K miles a year or less... and the biggest plus of course if you can write it off...

I'm financing though my companies credit union 6.25%, $9000down including trade in, $1000/month. I might increase the speed to have it paid off in 1 1/2 years. I belive the best the dealer can do is approx 7.5%

I hear you. I guess the thing I failed to talk about was the more you own, the more you can get down the raod at better terms and rates (aka houses, more cars, and other high-cost belongings). I am just thinking long-term here. I encourage you to do whatever you feel is right. My dad brainwashed me with anti-lease propaganda, so you must excuse me.

What dealer would give you is probably 9%... $1K a month after putting down $9K wow... we have some rich people on the board... didn't anyone ever tell you investing in cars, not antique, was a bad idea...

You have a point here too. I just can't get off this stuff since I am a math oriented person. One thing you must remember is that a car is not an investment such as stock or mutual funds are, but more an investment in your credit rating and financial future. One thing is for sure -- luxury cars (and SUV's) depreciate the most rapidly of all vehicles, especially within 3 years or less. Something to consider.
