What is driver's side "dummy button" for?

I have a switch that looks just like that to fake my DVD head unit into thinking the parking brake is on to view video. But, I found a code that disables it anyway, so I took that whole blank out and now have the 01-03 Civic fog switch just hanging out.

some options the saber had. were cornering lights as well as dual side front bumper cameras.

damn japanese!!! always holdin technology out on us.
