What is the down side of AEM pulley?

What is the down side of AEM pulley?

Does anyone know what is the pros and cons on the AEM pulley??

or so the rumor goes... it seems only accord owners have seen this problem. i think this whole argument took place on the cl forum as well. noone with CL/TL with aem pulleys has experienced any problems as far as i know.

My accord had this problem. Since you increase the diameter of the alt pulley, it reduces it's rpms. Even though my electrical and stereo was stock, the alt wouldn't spin enough to keep the car charged. Sitting in traffic with lights and ac on would shut off my stereo.

I'm not positive, but the TL/CL has 10-20 more amps of output. The TLS/CLS has some 40 more amps of output from their alt.


ahh... found this...
3.2 TL - 105 amps maximum
TL Type S - 120 amps maximum

Once I find the Accord v-6 then it'll be relative.
