What the differences between 2000,2001,2002, and 2003

Hi Guys and Gals

I'm looking into buying a 2000 TL.

Wanted to know what the Major difference between 2000,2001,2002, and 2003 Models?

Also anything that I should look out for?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Dave

OMG, Search there has been like 50 threads..

Most recently like last week and stuff..

But Here we go..

In 2000-2003 There is a TL-P Which is the base TL..

It has 225 HP

In 2002-2003 The TL Type-S Came out..

It has 260 HP, Stiffer Suspension, Different headrests and couple other things..

The 1999-2001 TL's all have diff style headlights (STILL HAVE XENONS) and also have diff hood, diff tail lights and couple other differences over 2002-2003..

1999 has a 4 Speed Tranny Vs. 2000-2003 have 5 Speed

1999 has a Hard Drive 1 Region Navigation VS. DVD Navi for Whole U.S. for 2000-2003

There are many other diff but will post back when I rmr

he basically sums it up pretty good.

let's see... headrests are different... the trunk emergency release is different, I think 02+ lights up... 02+ also has memory seat I believe. and the 6 disc in-dash changer is for 02+... I can't think of anything else right now though.

My '02 has that too
I believe the only diff between '02-'03 is OnStar if you get the Navi.

Only diff between '00-'01 is the floor mats were standard on '01. That was a short model run because the '02 came out in March of '01. A lot of '01 buyers were pissed.

I dont know, But I would think it wouldn't fit easily.. You would have to do some modding..

Anyways the parts would be way too much because they are OEM..

The big difference between the '99 and the '00 besides the switch to 5-speed auto was that side-airbags were also added.

According to Acura there were over 500 changes between the '01 and '02 model years on the TL. Most of them are very minor and/or "under the skin" where you don't see them. I think all of the major chages that would affect a consumer have been listed here already.

Ya for the price u pay for the OEM Parts, you would be better off getting Nice Aftermarket ones, that give your car a different look..

Like when peoples OEM HID Bulbs go out, they end up getting 6000k because they are cheaper and more bluer
