What a difference a car makes!
As some of you may know, I picked up my '03 TL about three weeks ago. My previous car was a '93 Mazda 626 ES.
My dad purchased a new 2001 Toyota Camry last Spring, and I would often find myself using very excuse in the book just to get a chance to drive it. I would often go out at night just driving in the thing. It's a nice car, similar to the Anthracite color on TL's, leather, wood trim, spoiler, etc....
Came back home this weekend to visit the fam. Well, I took the Camry out for a spin today....:yack: , damn it feels like an inferior car now!!! The leather looks cheap, the dash layout sucks, build quality is inferior, the shift knob is ugly...and on and on! MAN, having my beautiful baby for only three weeks has spoiled me to the point that I now consider crappy what I used to think was a nice a$$ car!
I learned one thing today, I will NEVER purchase another "average" car again in my lifetime! It's strictly "luxury" from here on out folks! My automotive pallete has been permanently enhanced!
Sorry for the long winded post, I'm just amazed!

I hear ya
My mom has a Camry and I used to be in love with the car!! My mom wanted to trade when she rode in my TL
.
Just don't let it go to your head though. A car is just a car, purpose being to get from point A to point B. It's just all the extra goodies and amenities that you start to love
I would still love to drive moms Camry right now!!
while you may think the Camry is inferior to the TL in every way, my moms Camry still has NO squeeks and rattles. Compare that to the rattling symphony in my TL

I used to drive a 97 camry (same gen as the 01) and loved it. It was quiet and reliable, but with no bells & whistles. uhh, no pun intended. Now that I'm used to the TL, when I drive the camry, it feels like crap, and I start to wonder how I ever survived with that thing. You're totally right about the camry having no squeaks and rattles, but I still much rather drive the TL. Oh yeah, the TL seems to pick up much more road noise too.
But again, I'd still much rather drive the TL.
And yeah, "its strictly 'luxury' from here on out" cuz all you can do is go upwards, never back down.

a good advice to you my friend, avoid getting in a LS430, new 7-series, s-class or anything NEAR that
, until your ready to buy one, and keep your self happy for the years to come with your TL.
Igonrace is "BLESS" ,hee hee
