what could it be???
what could it be???
when i'm driving 40-50km's,i hear this ticking noise coming from the wheel and when i brakw it get's louder and it gets even louder when i brake hard,i'm guessing warped rotors?
i have something similiar and i can't pinpoint it. although i will say at first i thought it was my rotors (i figured maybe one of the slotted edges was making noise when it hit the brake pad or something). i know it sounds alot like putting baseball cards in the spokes of a bicycle.
my next thought was that it could be a bearing, but they make more of a roaring noise, something on the axle flapping against a non-moving part of the steering knuckle. then i thought it could just be air oscillations since the rims are rotating and the rotors have slots, but i don't think this is a viable answer. then i gave up because i was out of ideas.
i plan on doing a brake job this weekend or next (whenever my rotoras arrive), i will let you know what i find in there. i'm really hoping i can pinpoint it.

i cant see how it can relate to the rotors.

hey
i got the same problem when i brake it makes a clickin noise from the front passenger side. even when i let off the brake it still ticks as i drive for a minute. sounds like a rock or sumthing thats in there. im just gonna scrape the stock brakes and go aftermarket cause its almost time anyway.
