Any suggestions to what colour I should get?
I asked this guy from the shop, he told me Brown tint, and I was thinking wouldnt Brown look weird. He told me everyone is getting Brown tint now, and he showed me a sample pictures and it looked Black to me.

I got a smoke tint , with a 40 % tint or less thicker tint , it looks like a brown color , but once you're 35 % or thicker , it will look black. It's the most common tint indeed. IMHO , When it comes to tint get a 35 % or thicker , below that is pointless (not dark enough (less privacy) & don't block enough light).

A dark black color always looks clean and classy to me.

I plan to do mine this summer. There is also some metallic mirror looking tint out there as well.. but I like the black to keep in on the down low..

Impreza, I bet that guy didn't tell you that the brown tint was also more costly too eh?

a smoked charcoal looks pretty clean

i have it in 35%, it has a very slight green to it at angles.

if you go to 5/20%, the smoke will be very obvious and give you a mirror like reflection

The most common tint comes in 2 "shades" brown and blue. I like the tint that is on the brownish side b/c the blue-ish tint tends to turn the nasty purple color after time. Hope this makes sense. If not just ignore me! lol

Mirror tint, all the way. no questions. Chinaman has it i tlooks nice. I dont know about the practicality issues (i.e. deteoriate visibility), but for silver, do it. Talk to Chinaman about it. peace.

black limo tint...if you have a NAVI, the mirror tint might interfere with the GPS signal.

Talking

I have the 35% mirror tint, it messes up my navi sometimes, but not too often. It only messes it up for about 30 seconds and then back to normal. I would not get one of those half mirror and half smoke tints, I think they are ugly. Just go full smoke or full mirror don't do half & half.

I have a Silver TL with 20% (damn, or is it 30, now I don't remeber) tint. I love the way it looks. Not too dark, but just dark enough.

Black definitely brings out the color of the car. Go too light and it will look funny.

I saw a car with red and another with yellow, and as Jason would put it

Definitely go with black tints. I have 20% black tint on my TL. IMO, it makes the car look classier.

I'd say a limo tint... but check that it is permited by law... the fines are stiff and after paying the fine they also require that you take off your tint...

I have a platinum tint. It's a variation of mirror tint but not as reflective. From some angles it looks like smoke tint, but from others you can tell it is semi-reflective. I think it looks great and "classy" on Silver TL's.
