in NY, youre not allowed to have any tint on the side windows. Only the rear defroster window can have tint. 27% tint means only 27% light is allowed thru so obviously, this clearly violates NY law. Also, the 27% tint coupled with the factory tint already on there, you will find, via tint meter, that the percentage will be even lower than that. Maybe around 20%??

Anyways, get black tint, it's the best looking for any color car.

That's not even counting however many more tickets you will get in the future. You are better off getting legal tint for your area.

in NY, its definitely where youre located. In most parts of all 5 boroughs, cops dont care b/c obviously, there are more things important than pulling someone over for just tint. But out on LI, cops are more likely to pull you over.

i so agree with you lol i know about that because i dont care if i see a car with 2 layers of tint so DO 5% or you come to Washington Heights and there's a shop here that got this tint paper from the Dominican Republic 3% darker lol....

5% ALL DAY!!! I will never go any lighter. What's the point, you can still see the person driving. Here's the trick, find a tint shop that the people seem nice and actually value you as a customer. Go with the one that will write up a fake invoice for you whenever you get tint tickets. Saying that they stripped it off. Then whenever you want you can just go show that to the DA and it will be dropped instantly. I have done this at least 10 times over the last 6 years on all my vehicles. May waste some time, but doesn't cost you nothing. May want to consider tipping the shop sometimes.
