What brand battery?

What brand battery?

Time to get a new battery for my '00 tl....anybody have any suggestions or good experiences with a certain brand/type? How often are you suppose to change a battery? Every 3 years or so?

die hard from sears


depending on the brand and your conditions/maintinence your battery can last over 7 years

optima red.

my 99 has 78k.

just replaced the original battery, last week,

the optima red...about 100.00 bucks.

costco, pep boys, and I'm sure others. check optima's website, I'm sure they have a list of distributors

OPTIMA yellow does not do any good unless your are constantly parked with your stereo blasting. Use the RED since it has more CCA. IMO, yellows should be used for a 2nd or more battery where you can take advantage of its deep cycle benefit.

Or...you are constantly parked with an aftermarket alarm.

Below is a picture for Sam so he knows what an Optima battery looks like. Be informed...the stock battery cover wouldn't be able to be used anymore since the Optima battery is smaller than stock. You'll also need to replace your tie-down.

i got the optima yellow almost 1.5 yrs got all sorts off stuff hooked up and it hasnt missed a beat....i got it @ sears def worth the money

thanks for the suggestions...i ended up getting the yellow optima from pepboys today...the guys there gave it rave reviews
