What is this??
On all of my windows I have something that looks like it is engraved that says theft detterent and then underneath it has three letters and like 6 numbers, and I was wondering what it is

it should part of your vin number for security purpose. just incase if your car get stolen, it will be hard for them to sell your parts.

its like your vin number on your car. this id number/letter combination was engraved by the police dept in case your car is stolen. let your insurance company know, you could get a extra discount for this.
