Question what is that???????

hey,
i just recently purchased a 2003 TL type-s,
my question is.....right between the switches for the seat heaters, there is a small space/ compartment and it looks like there's a vent of some sort....can anyone tell me what that is and it's purpose???????

Its just one more space to put something... I don't see any vent there... I will double check later, hehehehe.

that small space is where is your OBD connection
if u look right under your asstray or coin holder there is a cover
pop the cover off and there is the obd port
that why u have that little compartment

In my car that little 'dip' under the ashtray is more or less ash storage it's SO crap that there isn't a light in that ashtray! I keep missing

I keep my garage door opener in there. It's snug in there and you can't see it unless you put your hand in there.

O3's do not have their OBD plug behind that access door. They moved it in 03. They just didnt make a new console. Lazy bums lol.

Yep, they moved it under the dash board. Look at the interior temp sensor and go directly down under the dash. There it be!!

The old cover could be a cool place to put a VTEC activation light or maybe even a trans temp guage.
