TRANNY! I knew from all you guys it was only a matter of time, but I guess I can't really complain, it made it really far. Got it towed to the Acura dealer (Tischer, Laurel Md.) and they even alluded to the fact that "we will work something out with you" which I took to mean the extended warranty. I talked about it only briefly with them and will report back to you guys when I know more tomorrow.

hey, i've got the same car, only mine is stock. Was wondering what order you put your car together in and if you would have changed any of the steps?

I haven't had any tranny problems yet. I'm only at 83,000 kilometers (canadian) though. Is that header worth the monsy??

No one can really complain about the trans. at that mileage. Mine (2002, Type S) lasted 30k. The rebuilt trans and updated ECU seen to work better than to original ever did. I initialy noticed discolered trans fluid around 10K. shifting a bit hard and some chatter on third gear engagement at modest throttle. We'll see how the fix works out. I hope the dealer is as agreeable with me when I reach your kind of miles. I avoid the dealer as much as possible.

Chuck, I was just telling the service staff at my dealer about you this morning. I brought my car in for the 30k service and mentioned I know someone whose TL has 160k miles on it and it's doing pretty well. I'm glad you got that level of service out of your tranny.

162,000 on a '00 ?!?!? Wow !! Where haven't you been ? I have a whopping 5200 miles on my '03 that I picked up Nov '02. Good to hear that they'll work something out.

He is driving mostly highway, 162K miles is really nothing... On highway the tranny is mostly in 5th gear and RPMs are low.
162K miles probably equates to 70-80K miles in the city, or even less.
