Hello everyone.
First off I want to tell you how sorry I am it took me this long. As some of you know I had been working on the new design and forum for the site. What happend was, the server we were on could no longer handle the load, and I was forced to close the message forum down....
So I went out and bought a new DELL server and have been scrambling ever since to work on the new layout I already had.
I did not want to spend the time moving over the old site and forum over.
I know you all went through withdrawl, so I wanted to explain what happend.
Lots of nights working on only a couple hours sleep and I did the best I could.
As you look around, you will see why it took me so long
I did not go it alone, so I would like to thank the friends and members that helped me.

Let me be the first to say--although I had some withdrawls --it was worth the wait. As a webmaster I can appreciate the work that went into this project. Tim and everyone else, believe me when I say we all *really* appreciate it.

 

Wow, Snook, the new layout looks nice! Thanks for all your hard work. Yeah, I had withdrawal symptoms, but I'm impressed by what your team has done. Nice work!

 

Hey, found a couple of quirks in the new board...

1. Images don't appear as images, but as URLs instead. Checked my user profile and I did ask to see IMGs as images.
2. GMT is not set properly. Unless Greenwich moved to Florida without my knowledge, GMT should be CDT+5hr, not CDT+1hr.

I was surprised to find out how much I've come to depend on your website! I definitely went through some withdrawals... I even visited the CL forum for a quick fix.

Does anyone else notice that the new forums will not work with Netscape, I hate using IE, it's all different.

 

I'm using Netscape 6.01 on a Windows 98SE platform with no problems in these forums, except that visited links don't always change colors like they do with other pages.

 

I am using Ver 4.76 and the page loads up blank

 

WOW....this is soo sweet. Awesome job Tim. This is the nicest looking forum on the web. I was flipping for the past coup;e days without my acura-tl.com. I had nothing to do on the net. Nice to have it back loking better than ever.

 

Tim! Wow! This is great! Thanks so much for taking all your time to do this. I went on other forums while this was down and it doesn't compare! Definitely went through withdrawal this week cuz this is all I look at when I'm at work.

Okay, it was bad enough not to have this site last week, however I picked up my anthrocite 2002 TL on tuesday with OEM spoiler and could not share it with you. Only people in this forum truly understand what its like to get your new TL. BTW, I love this car, which is much nicer than my 1998 Accord EXV6. The only thing is that the 6 c-d changer does not work as the little loading door is stuck open and as such Acura is replacing the entire stereo. I miss the cd player, but the stereo sure sounds good.

Also, Tim, is this forum connected to , as it was also down last week? This forum BTW is much better.

Hey Tim, I have the image in my sig set up, for some reason it's posting the url and not as an image.. The IMG is set up and all too.. I dunno why it's not working..

It looks like your ubb codes were messed up; I would double check them under the edit options section. If thats not it, I don't know what it could be.

Guys the reason you are having problems with urls and pictures isn't b/c of the site, I don't think, It has to do with photopoint no longer hosting pictures for free.
