Weird muffler noise

Hey guys,

So I was cleaning my tips, and I've noticed that my muffler on the driver side is making rattling noise...like a fast light drumming noise...

any ideas??

I searched google, and I come up with an explanation that drumming is there to reduce the muffler sound to low-frequency thus preventing noise?

huh? the drumming is light, and only I hear it when standing right by the left muffler...

someone please chime in

I don't have a type S but the other day I was giving my car a much needed tune up and I randomly checked the mufflers to see what was goin on down there and I heard the drumming too...the only thing I could see wrong was a small crack. So now that just gives me an excuse to go find some magnaflows

No such noise coming from my exhaust. I wonder if your muffler baffles are starting to rust out inside?

My friend Bread A-spec and I have a 03 TL-S A-spec and we are on the same boat as U....

I really wonder what causes that.

That drumming sound pisses me off.

I have to rev it up to about 3000 rpm in Park or Neutral to get rid of that sound temperarily, but it does come back after a while.
