weird engine sound with aem cai

i installed my aem cold air intake & bypass valve......whenever i floor my car.......there's like a few milliseconds of gap in the high rev sound......it comes in around 4900 rpm but then its gone at 5000 rpm.....i think it might be the bypass valve........also.......has anyone else felt a slight power loss with the bypass valve installed?

I GOT MY AEM CAI ABOUT 3 MONTHS

i know it has nothing to with how i installed it, i have this slight vibration(vibrates then stop then vibrates every 5 secs) at idle and its coming inside the engine bay driver side, when i drive and rev it i hear a high pitch squealing sound over 3500 rpms. i hear it from the intake.... it sounds whenever i press the accelerator definately know that both of these symptoms are from the intake because it never did b4 but once installed it started acting up.

Just bad choice, that is one of many reasons I switch back to OEM air box. Here is more info why:

Jay, waz up? I haven't talk to you in a while. Give me a call to chill. BTW, the right bypass valve came in and I installed it myself.

As far as the engine making weird noises, I haven't heard any yet. I only have the AEM CAI on for like a little over a month. I hope mine doesn't make weird noises later. I will let you guys know if it does.

actual dyno numbers comparing TLS w/AEM vs TLS w/Comptech High-Flow Drop in w/o resonator would be very helpful.
This could save me about $150, which I could then apply towards my headers....

Re: how?

Is a drop in filter. Just pop the air box open. Only 4 screws, then take the OEM filter out and insert the comptech filter in.

as for a dyno that will be cool. I could tell you there is not difference. Some people can't even tell the difference with or without CAI, just noise. So we are already getting just less than a few horses total with either one.....1HP +- difference on one of them over the other one, won't really matter....would it?
