Weird engine light code

Well, my engine light has been on for a while, so I finally went and got it checked. I got 2 codes. P1457, which I searched for here, and it was the gas tank evap leak... if anyone could tell me exactly what that means I'd appreciate it. My logical guess is that it is my gas lid, might need replacing. Anyways, the second code which I searched for and had NO luck is this.....

P1491 = Secondary Switch Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

Thats what the scanner at AutoZone said. I have no earthly idea what that means either. So, could someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks guys!

And I'll go ahead and throw this in here too.... I have tried to reset the light by disconnecting the battery for 5 or 10 minutes. the light goes off... but when I drive my car for like the next 20 miles or so, the car shakes really badly, and idles at 1-200 RPMS, then after a while it goes back to normal, which is about 5-600 for me. I always check to make sure my fuel tank makes several clicks when I close it, and I have NEVER fueled the car while it was running. HELP!!!!

I've never heard of there being a problem fueling the car when it's running. The problem is trying to nurse fuel into the car after the automatic shut off kicks the nozzle off. This can 'overfill' the tank, which will saturate the charcoal in the evaporative cannister.

I guess I'm gonna have to look at a diagram of the fuel tank. I just figured it was just a tank, with a hose at the bottom to suck it all out... and then small perforations in the gas cap to allow air in to the tank to equalize the pressure. Call me stupid, but I just didn't think a gas tank was so complicated!!!!

AFAIK, the evaporative canister is there to collect the fumes from the tank. I don't think there are any holes in the gas cap since that would allow them to escape into the atmosphere.

good point, but I just thought it would have sort of the same concept as a portable gas tank... for example, you have a hard time pouring gas unless you have the air hole opened on the other side of the tank. I dont know.... I guess I will just take it to the dealer. Thats not my concern, I am more concerned about that other code I got. Acura dealer said I probably need an EGR valve replaced, and my ports cleaned, whatever the hell that means. I just need a tune up... I havn't done anything to this car in about 40K, and I now have 128K on it. It needs servicing I guess!

The code p1457 is a evap leak on the canister side, has nothing to do with the fuel tank or gas cap, that would be code p1456.
Code p1491 EGR valve insuffient lift. Depending on your mileage this should be covered.
Mostly I see when overfilling the tank the two-way valve and bypass solenoid get saturated with fuel which will code p1457.
Hope this info helps.
