Question Wax on windshield?

Trying to figure out what is causing this...

Every couple of weeks, I get this waxy-like coating on the windshield...wipers just smear it. Washer fluid doesn't do anything to it.

I'm absolutely certain no wax got on to the windshield, the wipers, or anywhere near it. The washer reservior is also clean (to my knowledge)...only put washer fluid in it.

Would it hurt to put clean water in the tank and flush it out, or would running the pump that long damage the washer fluid sprayer?

Any ideas?

Try some RainX. I don't think the problem is the windshield fluid. You can also try cleaning your wipers with some rubbing alcohol.

Try cleaning or replacing your wiper blades. I use Simple Green on a rag and wipe the blade. It should remove a lot of gunk from them.

OR you can try use the finest sand paper you can find(2000 grand or something similar...1500 should do, too), spray some Windex and rub the window with sandpaper.... it would remove the oily film and polish up your windows......

Maybe bring your car into your local Acura dealer and check to see if your car VIN applies to get the TSB for replacing the washer fluid reservoir/wiper blades.
