Wax on windshield?
Trying to figure out what is causing this...
Every couple of weeks, I get this waxy-like coating on the windshield...wipers just smear it. Washer fluid doesn't do anything to it.
I'm absolutely certain no wax got on to the windshield, the wipers, or anywhere near it. The washer reservior is also clean (to my knowledge)...only put washer fluid in it.
Would it hurt to put clean water in the tank and flush it out, or would running the pump that long damage the washer fluid sprayer?
Any ideas?

being that you said you get the waxy coating on the WINDSHIELD ....may i suggest cleaning it with some dawn and fine steelwool....better yet read this thread and you decide what to do.... http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004586.html
OR you can try use the finest sand paper you can find(2000 grand or something similar...1500 should do, too), spray some Windex and rub the window with sandpaper.... it would remove the oily film and polish up your windows......
