I did a search but couldn't find an answer.

For those of you with he 03 water pump recall: What work did they have to do when you brought it in? I took mine in to the dealership this morning and after one hour, they said mine was not affected even though the vin fell on the list. The service guy mention something about a "9" on the water pump and that the only one needed work were those.

I want to hear some experience before heading over to another Acura dealer.

he's right. you're only affected if you fall under the vin range and your pump has a 9 stamped on it. thats the code for the production run that was faulty.

id trust them for now. if anything breaks, you can always say that you went in for service and they didnt fix it.

no problem...what dealer did you go to? i bought my car from montclair acura, but ive been very unimpressed with their service. im thinking about switching to park ave for future services.

 

I am in South Jersey. I took it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle (Turnersville). I got the coupon for first oil change free. I will probably start using Sussman instead since it's closer.
