water in the ole trunk
water in the ole trunk
since i was going to the track last night i decided to take my system out of my trunk (figured i would need as much help as i could get w/ the 18's). so i took out my system....real pain because one of the screws holding the flush panel in place was stripped. I unhooked my navi (is held by flush panel), vcp, and amp. removed the mat thing in the trunk and then took out my spare tire and to my surprise there is a nice puddle there staring me in the face. i remember reading somewhere on here that someone else had a problem similar to this. anyway, i am going to take a look at it tomorrow and see if i can figure out how the water is getting in before i put all of that crap back in my trunk. for those who have had this problem did you ever find out what the cause was?
I had that problem I had to put a friend in the trunk with a flashlight while I hosed the car. It turned out that a plastic plug fell out so all the water that ran down the little gutter on the sides of the trunk was falling thru a little gap between the tail light and the car and then thru where the plug was supposed to be which led into the car. All I did was put about 5 layers of tape on the hole and I never had that problem again
by the way you will have to to take most of the carpeting behind the tail lights out to see the plugs

I had the same problem with the water in the trunk . I found out it was the 02 tailights I had put on were not tight enough so I had to retighten all the bolts. If you have 02 tailights that is your problem Im sure of it!!!
