Water Getting Into Car and Soaking Carpet
Water Getting Into Car and Soaking Carpet
My driver's side front carpeting is getting soaked. I noticed that the carpeting was soaking wet when I went to take the floor mats out and vacuum. I used a shop vac to take most of the water out and the carpet dried in a few days. Now after it rained for three days straight in NJ the carpeting is soaked again
I've looked everywhere, checked everything, checked all the moldings. I'm out of ideas. Has anyone had the same issue? I'm thinking that maybe something is clogged where water would usually drain and it's coming into the car

iirc there was an issue with the sunroof drain tube getting unplug and soaking the carpet.. Follow the drain tubes behind the A Pillar it goes down into the dashboard and connects into a separate line to the chassis underneath.

check that, also I had a issue with a plastic plug on the A pillar (you have to remove the fender liner to see it) causing a issue like yours. I had to pull the carpet back and stick the garden hose on the car and let the water run till i could see where it was coming in. A little silicone on the plug and problem was fixed.
