washer fluid light

My light came on yesterday, filled the fluid, and now it won't go off.
Usually it always shuts off when I fill it....not this time though

any ideas?

I think you're in the wrong section. This is the 2nd Generation (1999-2003).

I don't think so...I have a 99 TL. I'm in Canada though, not sure if US models have no light?

I believe Canadian TL's have larger reservoir than US models. Nonetheless, my TL's light turns on when low and after filling, always turned off. My guess is ground for the sending unit might be off. Or put windshield fluid into wrong reservoir like coolant?...I hope not.

No but its nice to tell you when the level is getting LOW so that you can fill it up before you DO run out.

And yes its only a thing

Do we really need a light to warn us when fuel is low? It's one of those warning lights that's nice to have, but not a necessity. When you drive in Canada where snow is abundant(at least where I live) and when all that snow melts in course of a month (ie. a lot of gunk splashed on the windshield), it's a nice feature to have before you completely run out of fluid and can't see a damn thing following a semi.

Dude man, this comment's coming from a guy in Mass? Don't you get any snow there? The light doesn't come on when there's no fluid left....that would be kind of idiotic, don't you think? Personally, I think it's a good feature to have. I can go through 1/2 gallon a day when the roads are snowy or slushy. When the light comes on you still have fluid left, and it lets you fill up at your convenience as opposed to on the side of the highway at -30 degrees with a howling wind.
Every car I've owned in Canada has had this feature. If I lived in TX, I wouldn't give a rats ass stepping outside in 100 degree weather!
