Post warranty issue, anyone with any mods!

if there any warranty issue or any bad experience on warranty when you have mods besides Comptech at authorized dealer? I know my dealer is an ass... they told me they have never heard about Comptech... plus I'm thinking about changing the sprins to H&R... any information will be very useful, thank you.

My car insurance won't cover any mods unless they are done by the dealership. But my insurance only covers certain autoshops mods, but it doesnt recognize the dealership as one of them. I suggest you check your insurance to see what they say.

Thumbs up

According to my Service Rep, Comptech works very closely with Honda Racing and while they will not cover the parts you replace with moding, it will not negate the warranty of items around it. I can not say the same for other manufacturers. They have said Comptech springs, sways, headers & Axleback exhausts are fine. I have not asked about CAI or shortrams. My Service rep said they could install them but I could have it done at an authorized comptech installer. There are few of these around, but we have one in Jacksonville.

an employee from comptech cleary stated on this board that comptech and honda are in no way in any kind of partnership. some dealers distribute ctech parts, thats all. some dealers decide to warranty those parts, but thats their decision.

imo, if you do springs, you just asking for it. its a pretty scary mod, imo. unless you do complete coilovers.
