Warranty
Warranty
I have read about all the good mods done to the TL-S, headers, intake systems, sway bars, springs etal. Do these mods give the dealers the option to void your warranty? I would like to install a few of these items but with the fabled tranmission problems; I am afraid that it would be an out for them to refuse service. I have not had the best of relationship with the dealers to start with! Anyone had experience with this question?
Thanks,
Kent

Can't remember the name of the actual law, but the way the law reads is that the dealer must prove that the part you added into the car caused a problem. If they can't prove it, then they would need to still fix the car under warranty. The thing is that it would cost them more money to prove it then it would just fixing the problem most likely.
Engine mods like a supercharger, or anything more complex would probably void your warranty though. And of course if anything went wrong with the aftermarket parts, there would be no warranty for them through Acura.

Oh and the actual law is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
.
Thank you for the good info. I have had the problem of the dealers doing anything they can to weasel out of any warranty work. They just love to sock it to you on their "required" service. I saw the post of the pictures of the 04 TL, looks super; but the service would scare me away. By the way I have a 03 TL-S.
