Warranty for 1999 TL

I have a 1999 TL and the manufacture warranty just ran out (hit 50,000 miles). I am thinking of buying additional wanrranty but can't decide whether I should go with Acura or an after market like warrantybynet.com. Are there ny other companies that sell warranties for Acura?

go with acura. The other warrenty companies may not let you take the car to the dealer for everything. Also they may not cover the same things as the dealer.

i thought that the Acura extended warranty had to be purchased before the expiry of the manufacturer's warranty? I may be worng, but you should confirm that.

I plan on buying it for my 99...I'm only at 30K so I still have some time!! It's quite expensive...I was quoted $1100!!! But, I guess it's better then buying a new tranny...even though it's already been replaced once!!

We don't have the luxury of purchasing extended warranty from other companies other than the manufacturers in CA.

I guess I should rephrase what I said. We can't get extended warranties from the internet as part of a regulation in California. I'm not sure what's out there where a consumer can get extended warranties other than the manufacturers, but you can do a search on the web, and non of them are capable of selling your warranties if you live in CA.

I was quoted $1395 from an Acura dealer... I believe the same warranty can be bought from Honda. There was a rather large thread about Honda warranties on www.odyclub.com forum, and Donna there was selling these warranties at a small set markup, seemed like the best deal on factory warranty. I believe there was something about it on this forum as well...

Anyway, Donna provides her contact info there so people can get a quote. Give it a shot, and let us know if she has a good deal for Acura TL - I will most likely be buing extended warranty in a few month...

I got a good deal from Warranty Gold, I picked up the Diamond Plan with zero deductible for 1000.00. They even offer zero interest financing. If you want give Gabe Lebleu a call at 800-580-9889 ext 4761. They also offer a $50.00 refferal bonus so I would appriciate it if you mention this contract # WG 99385
